Obituary of Ann Arlone Newman

Because remembering her is easy, we do it every day, but there's an ache within our hearts that will never go away. Our beloved Anne A. Newman, Anne as she liked to be called, age 55 of Shelton, WA passed away on June 27 th , 2021. Anne was born in the small town of Aberdeen South Dakota to James and Lucille Newman on August 23 rd , 1965. She graduated from Capital high school in 1983 and went to work for Morning side in Olympia, WA helping physically and mentally challenged individuals, she went on to work for the State of Washington at the department of Labor and industries and ended her working career working for Catholic Chore services. She decided to become a homemaker and raise her two sons Joaquin A. Aqualais and Kody J. Aqualais. Anne was a loving mom and her boys, the Indian and the Outlaw as she referred to both her boys were her whole life. Anne was always trying to help her children and others in any way she could. Anne truly loved the Pacific Northwest and all it had to offer growing up in Olympia, WA and the remainder of her life in Shelton, WA. She enjoyed being with her family during many activities when she was young with our parents and with her own family which included camping, crabbing for Dungeness, fishing, clam digging at the beach and relaxing on the canal. Her greatest passion was traveling to the beach. She had many fond memories with relatives who lived in Long Beach WA and Leavenworth WA and her favorite beaches were Long Beach WA, Tokeland and Ocean shores. Anne is survived by her sons Joaquin Aqualais and Kody Aqualais of Oregon, Grand Children, Little Joaquin Aqualais, Hunter McGee and Olivia Norris, Brother, Jim Newman of Olympia WA, Sisters, Lori Freeman and Vincelle Calica of Shelton, WA, Nephew, Ben Freeman of Olympia, WA, Nieces, Nicole Simmons and Shelby Durand of Shelton WA along with other family and friends. Anne is preceded in death by her daughter Briana M. Aqualais Newman, Parents: James and Lucille Newman, Grand Parents, Melvin and Alice Newman, Pete and Beatrice Peterson. A celebration of life will be held for family and close friends on July 31 st , 2021 at 2:00 pm.
