Obituary of Gene Douglas Kahn

Gene Douglas Kahn On Thursday September 23, 2021, Gene Douglas Kahn 71, went to be with the Lord, after a long, brave journey with many health challenges. Born in Burns, Oregon on July 21, 1950 to the late Glen Kahn and Mildred Soper, Gene spent much of his life in Oregon, Washington, California and North Carolina. At work Gene enjoyed the challenge of developing circuit boards and worked on various cutting edge development teams in the computer technology field. Gene followed a long tradition of the Kahn family serving in the United States Air Force. Even after an honorable discharge, he remained a true patriot and was proud of his time serving in the armed forces. Devoted husband to Suzanne Kahn for 35, inseparable years. They shared all phases of life together. Gene loved to try new activities and hobbies and Suzanne was with him at his side. He enjoyed photography, motorcycles, travel, cooking, grilling, smoking meats, spicy food, and searching the sky with his telescope in the evening. He didn’t stand still for long and was constantly trying new things. Beloved father of Jamie Schaeffer and Joi Kahn-Adair Cherished brother to Ed Kahn, the late Jack Kahn, Lana Kahn Buster and David Kahn. Dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews and some grand nieces and nephews. Please join us in celebrating his life, Saturday October 23,2021 at 2:00 PM at Harvest Foursquare Church, 910 E Dearborn Ave, Shelton, WA 98584. Cards, flowers, or donations can be sent to 63 E South Island Drive, Shelton, WA 98584 for Suzanne Kahn.
