Obituary of Edward Stipic

Edward Joseph Stipic, a lifetime resident of Aberdeen, Washington, passed away on October 28, 2021 at the age of 90. He was born on January 19, 1931 to parents Joseph & Julia Stipic. He graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1948, and soon after joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving overseas during the Korean War 1950-1952. Upon his return from service, he entered the Trade of Carpentry, in which he worked until his retirement, achieving the status of Master of Finish Carpentry. He married Irene Marie Zembal on February 1, 1958 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and they had four children – Mark, Linda, Joseph and Susan. Ed loved golf, and he was an avid and well-skilled player, and was a member of Grays Harbor Country Club. Along with his wife Irene, he helped teach and instill his passion for the sport in his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Aberdeen Elks FOE. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Aberdeen, WA. He is survived by his wife Irene, his daughter Linda (Roger) Clay, son Joseph (Shelly) Stipic and daughter Susan Ryan, and nine grandchildren: Tyler (Mollie) Clay, Stephanie (Ty) Partington; Shawn (Katie) Stipic, Tyson, Sam, Tanner and Sydni Stipic; Caroline and Jacqueline Ryan, Godchildren Dennis Morrisette and Barbara Morrisette Lea, special family friends Debra Rikalo Cotter and Jody Rikalo Gerber. Edward was a passionate man with strong convictions. He loved his family above all things, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, honesty, and fairness that will be remembered and perpetuated by his family and friends that remain. He will be greatly missed. At Ed’s request, there will be no service.
