Obituary of Debra Sue Brooks

Debora Sue Brooks 1/19/1957 - 11/30/2021. Debbie grew up in Spanaway Wa, and moved to Mason County where she met and later married James Brooks in 1985. Debbie was passionate about education and worked for Shelton School District for 22 years.  She had a passion for helping others, volunteering weekly with Kitten Rescue of Mason County.  With her husband Jim, she loved outdoor activities, hiking, and foraging for mushrooms and berries. She and Jim were active members of the Shelton Rock and Mineral Society, together they loved beachcombing and rockhounding; everyone that knew her got a rock from her at some point! Debbie and Jim are now reunited on their favorite beach. She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda and Catherine, two grandchildren Mathias and Calista, and her brothers Bruce and Ted.  Memorial service will be held Dec 11 2021 from 12-3pm at Shelton Christian Church, 115 W Arcadia Ave, Shelton WA 98584.  Donations in Debbie's memory can be made to Kitten Rescue of Mason County.
