Obituary of Betty Lou Adsero
Betty Lou Adsero, born on December 27th, 1932 to parents George and Agatha Pfeifer, passed away in the early morning of Tuesday, January 4th. She was 89 years old, having just celebrated her birthday with her family days earlier.
Betty met the love of her life, Bruce James Adsero, at just 16 years old in a soda shop in Seattle, WA. Being a bit too shy to start a conversation with the cute boy in an Air Force uniform, she relied on her artistic abilities instead. She asked for his photograph, drew a picture of it, and gave it to a mutual friend to return to him. Fortunately that was all it took, and he asked her out on their first date. They went on to spend their next 67 years together, until her beloved husband passed away in 2015. Although she found daily joy and comfort living with her daughter and son-in-law in the years since, she missed her husband terribly and looked forward to being reunited with him when the time came.
Throughout her 89 years, Betty lived a life full of love, laughter, generosity, and the most genuine kindness one could find. She loved her family, drawing and painting, Elvis, Christmas, and striking up conversations with strangers and old friends alike. She also enjoyed dancing to beautiful music, devouring all the sweets and chocolate she could find, sitting in the sun, and sharing special memories. She leaves behind her daughters Linda Douglas and Laura Eisenhauer, son-in-law Ron Douglas, granddaughter Cami Warren, and grandsons Paxton and Kove Warren-Smith, who all adored her so.
We are grateful to have spent our lives hugging her, learning from her sweet heart, and sharing life’s most precious moments. We will miss her beyond words for the rest of our days. We love you more, mommy/Grammy. You’re forever in our hearts.
