Obituary of Titi Paris-Jacobson

Titi Paris Jacobson passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 6, 2022, in Shelton, WA, after a long battle with dementia. Born Fatiha Djaileb on January 27, 1939 in Algeria, Titi was the daughter of Bouhaik Djaileb and Zouleka Belal. Titi had many siblings, including her sisters Zehour Macey, Halouma Zarouri and Souad Touhami, and her brothers Mourad Zarouri, Youssef Djaileb and Mohamed Djaileb. She lived in France and England before coming to the United States. She played a pivotal role in fighting for her right to be a professional wrestler in both England and New York state. She fought as Chi Chi Empress of the Black Daggar, and took part in the 1st female wrestling match in Great Britain. She met her husband Herbert "Jake" Jacobson in NYC, and gave birth to her only child, Romy Tracy Jacobson, in 1971. Titi co-starred in a movie about female wrestlers called "Below the Belt." She lived in Southern California and Las Vegas before retiring to Hoquiam, WA. Titi was a devoted wife to Jake until his death in 2014. Titi is survived by her daughter, Romy and son-in-law Theron Dale Andrews, her sisters Zehour, Halouma and Souad, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the world. A true pioneer and supporter of women's rights, Titi touched so many lives. She was passionate, witty and loving. She will be greatly missed.
