Obituary of Janice Tancrell Barnett
Janice Tancrell Barnett, 79, of Shelton, Wa., passed over on Saturday, February 19th 2022.
She was born in Uxbridge, Ma. on 11/6/1942 to Lillian Bates Tancrell and Alfred Joseph Tancrell, who both preceded her in death, along with her brothers Ernest and Richard.
She is survived by her sisters, June, Ellen and Elizabeth, and her brother Mike, also her daughter Laura, and grandchildren, Israel and Vicktor.
She will also be dearly missed by her niece Traci and great-niece Madison.
Janice was a Christian, Master Gardener, a quilter, a farmer, a soap maker, and a well-known and much loved face at many local Farmers Markets and craft bazaars for many years. She had volunteered for 4-H, Girl Scouts (for 2 generations!), sunday school, and in many other outreach programs, especially for children. She was always quick and open about sharing her vast knowledge with others, and as quick with her wit and her smile.
She loved to laugh and play games with family, valued all animals and all life, and loved her goats, chickens, cats and dogs dearly. She loved cooking and preserving, and was a very gifted quilter. She shall be so very missed. Memorial services will be upcoming.
