Lee you loved all animals. You always put other peoples needs ahead of yours. You are described by anyone who knew you as the kindest, nicest, most thoughtful and polite person they ever met. You are the greatest Wife, Mother and Nana to your grandaughters anyone could have ever hoped for! I was truly blessed and honored to have been by your side for 51 years. We promised to take care of each other through our senior years but God has other plans for you. The "death do us part" of our vows kicked in. Above all else your belief and faith in God and Jesus Christ as your personal Savior helps us deal with the pain of losing you. You are in Heaven with Sarah now.
I miss you all day every day,
Until we meet again your ever loving husband,
Glen

Q: What will you miss most about Adrian?
A: Desi,
I always admired your mother's caring and selfless nature. She was there for us always and she was still like that after losing Sarah. I remember anytime she thought we weren’t making good decisions she would say “Desi” in her soft voice. It was like she was warning us, but still giving us room to mess up and that she would love us no matter what.
The things I remember most, and don’t ask me why this is. I remember her:
1. working at Costco
2. hanging a lama picture above the front door and asking me if I liked it and all of us laughing hysterically
3. and the conversations in the kitchen throughout the years. She always made me feel special and successful
4. on our prom night and both your parents pulling us over when we were in the limo in Seattle to check on us
5. taking us to youth group, movies, and Disney on Ice
6. going to dinner with us, and your dad, in Bellingham, while we were going to Western
I will always remember the special times I spent with you and your mother, Desi. She was always there for me growing up and I will miss her very much.
Love,
Vanessa Dales (Knutzen)

There are no words Glen and Desi, to express the sorrow. There is no mystery as to where Lee is now. Can you imagine the joy for her to see Sarah again? The most perfect man on Earth did not leave here alive and we will all be following her someday. Lee was clearly an angel on Earth. I cant think of a sweeter, more dear woman. She left this world and on to our true home with dignity and honor. I know she fought hard but God said He wanted her more and He decides, not us. I look forward to seeing her again someday. God Bless all of you.

Auntie Lee was the sweetest person I know. I can't say her name or have a memory about her without smiling. She was kind, caring, and soft-spoken... yet strong enough in life and her faith to handle being married to a police officer and the unfathomable loss of a child. I'm so glad she got to enjoy at least a little bit of retirement with Uncle Glen and experience the joy of her beautiful granddaughters. I am so very sad that what should have been many years was cut short. I hope that everyday we can find a way to share a little bit of Auntie Lee with the world through our actions.

Lee was one of the sweetest Neighbors. She was a Christian and she was a light on our block. She always had a smile on her face, always spoke kindly, and was a very good listener. Her dogs reflected her good nature, they were easy to pet and very welcoming. Robin and I were glad that Lee and Glen had the opportunity to move near their family in Texas but missed them. Jesus was kind and loving and Lee reflected those attributes, along with a spirit of joy. Lee is no longer iooking through a veil.buf face to face with Jesus. Peace and strength and comfort to Glen and Family, Jerry and Robin Logan.Auburn Wa

I’m so sorry to hear of Lee’s passing. After hearing the news I was immediately overwhelmed with a ton of memories from Softball tournaments. I would play with Sara and Desi while the Dads played and the Moms hung out watching. She was always one of the “nice” moms. I can still see her welcoming face. I remember birthday party celebrations also. Every memory I have of Lee or her family has an abundance of kindness that is present. Lee was special in that way.

We are so sorry for the loss of Lee. I first met Lee on the bleachers cheering on our husbands with the Seattle Blue Softball team. The best part of all those games was chitchatting with Lee about the challenges and joys of being a wife and mother. We had so much in common I felt an instant connection. I loved the laughter and conversations we shared. Glen, Lee was your biggest cheerleader in softball and life. She will be forever missed.

Ohhh Aunt Lee... How she could brighten a room every time she walked in it. All she had to do was smile and you knew everything was going to be alright. She was so kind and innocent.. that is until you start talking about scary movies with her. That always threw me for a loop ;-) And oh, how I will miss her BLT's, the whole house smelled like delicious bacon! And her breakfast sandwiches, yumm!! Somehow she coerced me into adding mustard, never heard of it before, but she was sure adamant about it (not too bad if I do say so).
So many good memories with Aunt Lee. She will forever be missed. But every single memory I have of her includes Uncle Glen being right there with her. They're like socks and shoes. Their love for each other is what inspired me to live in such a long and loving marriage.............. And the memory of their lives together will continue to inspire for generations.
Aunt Lee, thank you for being an amazing person. We love you and we thank you for your life and all your inspiration.
Until we meet again,
Pat, Kristen, Tyler and Briannah

I can remember one of the Polar bear jumps Glen and Lee had invited us ( Sharon, Joe, Quinton and I ) to Chelan for a winter vacation. Sarah and Auntie Lee were talking about doing the Polar bear jump and asked my son Joe if he'd like to do it too. Well Joe just loves the water and Lee and Sarah too so he was game. The day of the jump came and the three of them were lined up with the rest of the " bears " on the dock Then in they went and out of the water as quick as they went in. All except Joe. He just stayed where he landed and screamed at the top of his lungs. No one moved to help him out except Auntie Lee. She ran right back in that freezing water to help my son out. God got the cream of the crop when Auntie Lee left us.

Q: What will you never forget about Adrian?
A: When I heard that Lee had passed away there were two things that immediately flashed in my mind. One was the day I first met her and the second was the wedding gift she made me several years later. I met Lee at a baseball game that I had gone to watch. I had just started to date my soon-to-be husband, Larry, who played baseball with Lee's husband, "Cookie." (It took me many months to learn Glen's full name so I could quit calling him Officer Cookie.) The men played in a league made up of law enforcement officers from different cities, counties and states. I was new to Seattle and knew nobody at those first games. There was quite a bit of whispering and staring as most of the girlfriends and wives wondered who I was. Then this wonderful woman came up to talk to me. She told me her name (Lee) and told me the best place to sit and watch the game. She pointed out who each player was and his wife, if he was married, and his girlfriend if he wasn't. Lee introduced me to the other woman whose husbands or boyfriends played on the team.
Thanks to Lee I spent the best summers I'd had, sitting outside watching baseball and talking with new friends.
My second-best memory is of the beautiful gift that Lee hand made for Larry's and my wedding. She made the most beautiful photo album, complete with a blue cover, ribbons and lace. I loved it dearly and treasured it. Not just because it was beautifully made, but because Lee had put a great deal of love into it.
Lee was an amazing woman. She had a gentle and serene way about her, and she was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She is missed.

I'm lucky to be Desi's sister-in-law, which means I was lucky to know Lee. The very first time I met Lee & Glen was when they were welcoming me to stay in their home for a weekend. Lee was truly in a league of her own in terms of kindness. She absolutely was an angel on this earth. I will miss her so incredibly much, but my heart is more loving for having known her. Thank you, Lee, for making this world a better place. I love you & you're forever in my heart. <3

I had the honor of first meeting Lee when Glenn invited me to his home when we were both stationed at Ft. Lewis in 1978. We pulled up to this extremely tiny converted motel on the Pac Highway and that is when Lee came out. She was such a beautiful young woman who was so polite and had so much grace. I remember thinking then how lucky Glenn was to have married such a wonderful person. My heart goes out to Glenn and his family and my prayers are with them'
Deepest sympathy,
John Diaz

My Dearest Sister-in-Law,
You were and always will be an inspiration to us all, and one of the most courageous of anyone I will ever know. Such a good sport, willing to try anything and everything. A beautiful person inside and out, and always a champion for others. There was no limit to your generosity - authentic, friendly, helpful, and willing to see the good qualities in everyone. Your contagious smile and personality are like no other. Thank you for being a perfect match for my brother, for bringing happiness and joy to him for many years, and for being his soulmate. I like to think I had something to do with bringing the two of you together. The truth is, your love for each other was meant to be, with or without me running notes across the field from our house to yours and back again. You taught me more about what is important than I could hope to put into words. I will love and remember you always. See you down the road my beloved "sis."

I have known Lee for several years. She and Glen lived down the street from us. They became close and special friends, helping me in many ways when my husband passed away.
One Christmas season Lee and another friend and I went to a Craft show. Had a great time shopping and lunch afterwards made it a special afternoon.
When we went to get a rescue dog, Glen and Lee went with us and helped us choose our little Lucy. Many dog walks together after that.
I am blessed to have had Lee for a friend and miss her very much. Heaven gained an Angel.

Glen, Desirae and family, we are so sorry for your loss. I have spent many hours working with Glen. Glen always had stories to share about him and Lee. The way they met, their children and their travels together. It was obvious that these two were very much in love. Lee, you made Glen a happy man! This was definitely a match made by heaven. It will continue on when you later meet again only this time it will be forever and without pain and sorrow.

Oh my beautiful mom. There are so many memories, how do I choose just one? I remember how we would have contagious back-and-forth belly laughs, not knowing how they ever got started. The way you would run through the house screaming because dad was chasing you with a spider. Our mother/daughter shopping sprees where we would take a break, sit and talk while having a Cinnabon. The way you always looked so beautiful in dresses and bright colors. You really lit up this world.
I don’t know how I will get through this, but I know you want dad and I to be happy. We promise that we are trying. You always told me to give the babies hugs and kisses for you. I will continue to do that, and now you can give Sarah hugs and kisses for me. I love you, Madre.

We have known Lee and Glen for years. I have never met any other couple that were truly made for each other. If you read Psalms 139 it says that everyday of our lives God knows before we live one. God chose you two to be together. Knowing that you both accepted Jesus Christ as your savior means that you both will spend eternity together. We will all be together when our time comes. May God bless you Glen for the person you are. Love in Christ Jim and Colleen Luedeke

The first time I met Lee was at a family function when she and Glen were dating. I recall her kind face and sweet disposition. Since that time, Lee has been such an amazing member of our big family. I loved talking to Lee, as she always had a kind word, made me laugh and just radiated her joy to everyone. She was an incredible, loving and fun mother to her girls. Lee was devoted to Glen and the love between them was always so visible, setting the standard for all of us to folllow. Lee had such a heart for everyone around her. When you were hugged by Lee, you truly felt loved and valued.
Lee loved her daughters Sarah and Desi, and her Son In Law, Dan. She adored her grandchildren and was such a intregal part of all of their daily lives. Lee was a wonderful caretaker and such a blessing to her Mother-In-Law, Colleen.
Thank you Lee for all the love, joy, laughter you shared with us. Thank you for shining your light into our lives and showing us by your example how to love and care for others as Christ did. This isn’t goodbye as I know we will see each other again in heaven someday. I love you.
