Obituary of Bernice C Rimestad

Bernice Catherine (Wolf) Rimestad, age 92, passed away peacefully February 16, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born May 22, 1930, in Hosmer, South Dakota. She married Elmer B Rimestad on October 29, 1949, who preceded her in death in 1983. She lived with her significant other, Raymond Kovalenko, for over 25 years, who also preceded her in death in 2022. Bernice was extremely active with the Tacoma Fraternal Order of Eagles #3. With her club friends she traveled, bowled and donated time for various activities. Bernice was voted Mrs. Eagle 1998-99. She maintained her membership until her passing. She enjoyed most in life spending time with her family. Which included things such as camping, watching them play sports, family gatherings and celebrating special occasions. She would never miss an opportunity to cheer on her Seattle Mariners. Bernice is survived by her two children, Ron (Cindy) Rimestad and Joleen (David) Kanick; grandchildren, Scott Rimestad, Jennifer (Gordon) Kramer, Michelle (Davis) Trent, Erica (Jason) Webber, Kristine Kanick, Paul (Jennifer) Kanick, Zach McCall and Renee Stone; and 17 great grandchildren. Celebration of life to be announced later.
