Will Ames

Obituary of Will Alan Ames

Will Alan Ames, 43, bravely finished his battle with ALS on Jan. 22, 2015. He deeply appreciated the loyal support of family, friends, caregivers and the Providence hospice staff. Will was born on June 21, 1971, in Independence, Iowa, where he started life on a farm. He later moved with his family to ranches in Idaho and Wyoming which spawned his love for the outdoors and his drive to “work hard,” as he said. He graduated from high school in Hot Springs, South Dakota, where he excelled in track, wrestling and FFA. He began investigating the Bible in his teen years. He was baptized on Oct. 1, 1988, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He said “the Bible’s promise of living forever on a paradise earth just makes sense, one lifetime is not enough.” He married his faithful wife Carisa in May of 1995. In June of 1997 his most beloved daughter Cameo was born. The family moved to Shelton in 1998, where Will owned and operated a carpet and window cleaning business for 10 years. Will, dynamic as he was, enjoyed gardening, hiking, making beer and wine, music, helping others and sharing Bible truths. He is indelibly etched into the memories of all who knew him. We invite you to join us for his memorial on Feb. 28th at 2:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 11 W. Sentry Ct. Shelton, WA, 98584. .
