Obituary of Bernadine Robertson

Bernadine Frances Robertson died of peacefully of natural causes on October 9, 2023. She was 82 and lived in Shelton since 1979. She was born on March 14, 1941 to Bernard and Alice Mitchell in Helena, Montana. She graduated from Ellensburg High School in June 1959 and began working for the City of Ellensburg as a Billing Clerk and then as the Secretary to the City manager until June, 1962. She moved to Ephrata, Washington in 1966 with John and moved again in 1979 to Potlatch, Washington on Hood Canal and in 1988 moved to Shelton and remained there until her passing. Bernadine enjoyed growing flowers in her yard, volunteering at the different churches where she lived and at school activities for her three children: Greg, Steve and Cheryl while she raised her grandson Josh. She took care of rentals that they purchased in 1979 by painting, cleaning and weeding for many years until her mother (age 79) and Josh (Age 18 months) came to live with them in 1994. Her mother Alice lived there nine years until her death in 2002 and Josh until he graduated Shelton High School in 2006. She is survived by her husband of 62 years John P. Robertson, sons Gregory H Robertson and Steven P. Robertson and daughter Cheryl A. Robertson. A memorial mass will be held on October 24, 2023 (9:30 a.m. Rosary and Mass 10:00 a.m.) at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Shelton. Father Ron Belial will officiate.
