It is with great sadness that we announce that Penny Jean Anthony (née Peden) of Ocean Shores, Washington passed away on January 4th, 2024, from an unexpected stroke.


Born January 25th, 1962, in Olympia, Washington to William Peden and Janet Peden (née Whitaker), Penny grew up in Shelton, Washington and lived in many areas of Southwest Washington. Penny worked as a cook in many area restaurants and kitchens. She was a lover of the outdoors and camping, she was famous as the camp chef. She was a strong, vibrant woman.


She is survived by her husband, Jarred Anthony, her five daughters, Nicole, Amanda, Rosi, Penny, and Markie; as well as five siblings, and 21 grandchildren.


She was loved and will be missed. “If you find a light that sparkles, please, please, please, hold on to it.”
