Through windows above and long full eyes
She’d watch them each day, those boys of the sky.
He’d watch her too, and became aware
Of the feelings repressed, she so longed to bare.
To fly, to soar, to become One with the sky
That peaceful feeling she could never deny.
Through patience and guidance, and most of all love
He taught her to reach for her dreams high above.
After some time, he was no longer there
But he knew she’d continue alone without fear.
For he instilled in her, he knew
Confidence, enough to carry her through.
Now soaring high on wings of her own
All by herself, yet never really alone.
In her heart, never will die
The inspiration he left to this girl of the sky.
