My thoughts and prayers to the entire family. I know first hand how hard it is to lose the strong man that you looked up to. I feel so fortunate for all the special times and memories the Olson and Harrison families shared over the years. It always felt like we were family. The years of being next door neighbors, numerous camping trips and parties. I always enjoyed giving Chuck a bad time, since the Olson kids did the same to my dad. I remember the elaborate outdoor bathroom facilities dad and Chuck would make when we were camping. The country music that he would blast out the speakers of his camper and we would give him grief for. Which is funny because I grew up to love country music. I know your passing will be difficult for your family and the hole it leaves in their hearts and lives will be felt every day. The thing that puts a smile on my face is thinking that you are dad are now back to sharing stories, jokes and drinks once again. Thanks Chuck for being such a big part of my childhood memories. You will be missed but not forgotten.

Grandpa,
I feel so blessed to say that I got to have many memories, laughs and stories with my grandpa until the age of 32. Unlike others my grandpa was there to pick me up from elementary school when there was wind storms, show me how to garden and eat all his tomatoes, put up with me during the fishing derbies in Timberlake and yell at me while I goofed around on the hand cart while he was trying to work. There are so many more memories that I will be able to treasure each day. Thank you grandpa for being you and being apart of my life all these years. I am so glad you got to be at the wedding and be apart of one of the greatest moments in my life. I am thankful that Dennis and Kincaid got to meet you and see what a wonderful man you are. I know you will always be there for our family and you will be looking down on us smiling. You will be missed by everyone! I love you grandpa olson!

Grandpa,
You were stubborn, gruff, and opinionated. But there was no doubt that you loved us even when you had difficulty saying it. You were strong, outspoken, and a hard worker. You spent your life working hard for yourself and your family and we all appreciated it and you so much for it. Even though I know you are where you are supposed to be I cannot help but feel a little selfish that you were taken from us. Growing up you and grandma were two of the most constant people in our lives and I thank you for everyday for your support, honesty, and integrity. Many people believed in me, but it truly touched me when you told me that you thought I was intelligent and would one day do great things. It is that confidence in me that will push me to better myself and make a life I know you would be proud of.
Give great grandma a hug for me and tell her I miss her cookies. Pet Duke and the poodles for me and pet them behind the ears. And most of all please watch over this family. We all miss you so much and we will never be the same now that you are gone.
Love,
Bitts

A rough day in the Olson family. I lost a very important piece of my upbringing. R.I.P. Grandpa Chuck Olson. I hate to say it but I think it took me till today to realize the values you embedded in me as a young boy that have developed me into the man I am today. At least you're in a much better place where you can rest easy and smoke as many cigars as you want. Forever missed and forever loved. Love you Grandpa.

This giant of a man with the big booming voice could be just a little bit intimidating...
I think back to the summers when you and the family would come home to Minnesota how I looked forward to those days and all the fun that we had. Chuck, you always had this "grizzly bear" facade.....but it never failed when it came time for the family to leave, the tears would stream down this teddy bear of a mans face.
Well dear cousin......it is the tears that are streaming down my face right now. I am so glad that Mom and I came out there when we did to see your beautiful view of "Your Mountain". Say "Hi" to my dad, I am sure he was waiting with open arms!
You will always hold a special place in my heart....
Love Cousin Deb

Chuck was a good friend and client. We sold Chuck and Clarine their home in Briarwood. We had many good times at their home. Then, they moved to Shelton and we tried to visit as often as we could. He will be missed. Love to his family and to Clarice. Chris and Patty Johnson - Federal Way, WA.
