Don was a special person and always had a smile and hug for every member of our family. I was privileged to be counted a friend for 35 years. Pat & Don always made
me feel like family. He helped Emily and Arty when they were learning junior handling
and went fishing with Dave. He will be so very missed. Pat we are here for you, and we
care so very much. We are so sorry for your loss. Let us know if you need us for anything. The Harber Family

I always liked Don and first became aware of him in the early 90's when I had a litter of Shiba puppies at a show in Eugene OR. The puppies were in a X-pen allowing them to be out on the grass. A crazy guy came by on a bicycle and open the pen door and said run free puppies. Of course the puppies were terrified! Don helped me get all the puppies back and this is my first memory.
Fast forward 20 years and he once again stood up for me in a different situation. Don could be gruff. But I always felt he had a good heart.
