Jerry W.Webb, 82, passed away peacefully at his home on September 8, 2024, in Shelton, Washington. Born on December 23, 1942, in Decatur, Illinois Following graduation from Ramona High School in Riverside, California, in 1961, Jerry served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1960 to 1968, an experience that shaped much of his later life. After his military service, he furthered his education with two years at MCI in Quantico, VA.. Professionally, Jerry was a master of many trades. He worked as a master machinist and industrial engineer at Certified Aerospace and Bremerton shipyard, and was involved in transportation, both in long haul trucking and management. He also ran his own general contracting business. Jerry's personal life was filled with the joys of traveling, cruises, RV camping, fishing, bowling, golf, and spending precious time with his family and grandchildren. These activities reflected his love for adventure and his deep commitment to his family. He is survived by his wife of almost 51 years, Jeannette (Gunter) Webb; his daughter, Danette Burrell of Shelton; sons, Joseph (Brenda) Webb of Port Orchard, and Ronald Keen of Shelton. Brother Max (Patty) Webb of El Cajon, CA, Sister in laws Rosemary Webb of San Marcos, CA, Kay Gunter of Shelton, Dorothy (Robert) Hay of Shelton. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews . He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Webb; mother, Mary Louise (Tate) Webb; brother, Donald L. Webb; and son, Richard Joseph Keen. A graveside service will be held at Shelton Cemetery on Friday October 4th, at 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of life at the Squaxin Island Community Kitchen. McComb and Wagner in Shelton, WA, are assisting the family during this time. Jerry W. Webb will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him.
