I am so sorry and saddened to hear of Hal's passing. My prayer's are and will be with Melanie, his children and family. I know he loved you all and he will surely be missed. We are all better and blessed for knowing him. I certainly know I am. Tons of memories are flooding in right now from the first time I met Hal (at the bar at an ICA meeting, where he promptly made fun of my lightweight drink- imagine that) to our many heated debates ranging in topics from gross profit, email and technology, to why not jean Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday, in addition to jean Friday. I still haven't figured out how I lost the shoe allowance battle. I loved the way no matter how angry he got with you, it always ended with the Hal Moore smile and that twinkle in his eye. You could even get that over the phone. That's how I'll remember him... yes, for his heart of gold, his love of a good challenge, the red pencil, and the most fun thing he taught me...don't be afraid to order dessert whenever you feel like it-- just don't get fat. So, from now on, whenever I order crème brulee', I will think of Hal and smile because he was the man who taught me about that very special dessert. (Just one of the many things I may have never experienced without knowing him)
