This was a very special lady. She would come to my house in Vancouver, Washington with her daughter Laurie to visit me. You see Laurie and I were friends & neighbors to
each other in Lacey. Anyway one day she was leaving my house and tripped on my
concrete step and to stop herself from falling grabbed a bird in a flower pot. We all laughed so hard about it, we began to call her bird woman. It always brought a smile
to myself when thinking of Lauries Mom Del. Another favorite memory was how much she enjoyed a box of chocolates. So I would often give her one when she stopped in
and it was delightful to see how much she enjoyed such a small thing. My memories of
her are wonderful, her smile, quick wit and quickness to give an opinion on nearly anything at any time. We will miss her, but our memories will always bring a smile.
We love U Del, and know U are in heaven having a good time! Kathy Novak
