Obituary of Myron Kenneth Hoffman
Myron Hoffman, fondly known as “Snuffy” by his friends, passed away on May 25, 2015 at age 81 surrounded by his family.
Born in Shelton, WA, he spent his childhood in Shelton, Manchester and other areas on the peninsula. In 1951 he entered military service.
In 1954, Myron married Louise Fornara after they met in her home town of Redondo Beach, CA while he was stationed in the military there. It was love at first sight and they were married for 60 years, which they celebrated at a large gathering of friends and family last summer.
During his 21-year career with the United States Air Force, Myron, Louise and their four children lived in many places throught the United States. When he retired in 1972, he returned home to Shelton to spend his retirement years.
In addition to his beloved wife Louise, Myron is survived by his four children (spouses), Jeanne (Gibson) Nesbit, Kathy (Wayne) Harris, Rachel (Doug) Glover, and Russ Hoffman (Don Titus), and several brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Myron will be remembered as a strong man much loved by all those around him. He was generous with his time and talents, and known for always being willing to lend a hand to family, friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
