Obituary of Juanita Anne Cassell
Juanita Anne Cassell, age 55, of Shelton, Washington, died Tuesday evening, June 30, 2015, at Fir Lane Health and Rehabilitation Center from complications of diabetes. She was born November 28, 1959, in Adrian, Michigan, to Richard and Wanda (Hill) Cassell.
Juanita graduated from Adrian High School and earned and AA degree in Accounting from Jackson Community College. She was a devout Christian, and was a member of the First Christian Church of Adrian and the First Baptist Church of Shelton. Juanita's passion was her cat, Dovey, and any animal in general. Juanita was affectionately known as "Skeeter" to her Washington family.
Juanita is survived by three sisters, Susan E. Hirschy of Rolla, MO, D. Jeanne (Dennis) Mattis of Marshall, MI, and Holly (James) Sharpe of Olympia, WA; two brothers, James R. (Dee) Cassell of Fernley, NV and Joseph A. (Jane) Cassell of Adrian, MI; 18 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and great nephews; special friends, Jim and Jackie Snyder and her beloved Dovey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother in law, Dennis Mattis, and sister in law, Dee Cassell.
A memorial service for Juanita will be held Saturday, July 11th, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Shelton, WA with Rev. Glen Keeffe officiating. Interment of her ashes will be at a later date in Oakland Cemetery, Adrian, MI.
