For those of you who don't know this, my mother, Dorothy, was the best mom ever!
Our time together over the years has been spent in laughter and tears, music and devotions, enjoying beautiful flowers and competitive card games, figuring out election ballots and sharing recipes, praying and napping, and so much more than I can mention. My mom has been a sweet friend to me for a very, very long time...and I miss her so...
Yet...
I wouldn't wish her back here now. She has indeed joined Jesus and His heavenly host, free from all the aches and pains, all the physical restraints that crippled her here on this earth.
As my dear friend Kathleen reminded me, "...We know that while we're at home in the body we're away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we're of good courage, we'd rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:6-8.
So, take heart. Be glad for my sweet mother, and follow her example, for as she proclaimed so freely at Mason General Hospital ER recently, "When you have the Lord in your life there is no fear in death!"

I miss you GG! I often find myself sitting in your room talking to you. You always have the best advice. You have always guided me to make the best of anything, telling me to always look on the bright side. Right now knowing you are with your mom, grandpa and uncle John makes this all okay. Sebastian reminds me that I don't need to be sad or cry, he says you are happy now and that all your dreams came true, "mom she can walk" he says to me all the time. I love you so much!
