It would have been nice if someone,(Elizabeth) had notified his sister but NO! I sent Johnny flowers while he was alive and I am so greatful I didn't have to be there and watch him die. He still died alone. And Elizabeth can have the Motor Home, Charger and Mini Van all the guns, movies, TV's, blue ray players and much much more she deservers it for all she has gone through with Johnny. It's just too bad her greed led to her poor judgement and not contacting his family we don't want what Johnny has, (had) we want Johnny. Your the only one that whats his stuff and your are welcome to it. Hay are you going to return the cable equipment of 2000.00, or is that not your respondsiblity. Anyway it not matter any more. Johnny Love you miss you, you are in a better place now and with Mom. Love always, Marty Ann

I was saddened to learn of John's passing. He was a dedicated, enthusiastic and valued member of the Black Hills Rifle Team. His knowledge, generosity and willingness to help coach Dunn, his fellow Range Safety Officers and the kids greatly added to their success as shooters, sportsmen and team members.
He contributed in a quiet, unassuming way: fixing broken gear, loading equipment for matches, always having the right tool for a quick repair or just giving a nod of encouragement. That was his way of communicating his love of the sport and his support for those who came to learn it.
His pride in his sons was evident every time I saw him. The pride literally radiated
from his face, even -- or maybe especially -- as he fought a debilitating illness.
I remember people less for what they say than what they do. When I remember John,
I see a man whose face showed both good times and bad. The last time I saw him, he had a kid's rifle in his hands. He scratched his head, smiled and said "I think I can fix this for you."
You are no longer among us, but I'm guessing God will keep you busy.

I met John last year when he volunteered to help the Black Hills High School Rifle Team as a RSO. He transported all their gear to away matches. He was such a great help and was so dependable. We got to be good friends and I will miss him very much. Please accept our condolences and our prayers for the family. I hope his son Joe continues to be on the team as he is a good sportsman.
