To family and friends, Carina was a true blessing to me and the students of the HOST program. Your brilliance and spirit will never be forgotten. You offered true friendship and wisdom to all who crossed your path. I personally will never forget your willingness to help others, the ways in which you offered empathy and understanding to your fellow students and what you taught me about being decent and compassionate. I am weeping for you but it will not be for long because you would not want it. So I will pass on to students and friends and family what you taught me...
