I am not very good at Goodbyes....so just know that my words come from the heart. I only knew Steve for a short period of time, but the moment we met I knew he was a very prideful, strong man, can I mention stubborn too? I know it was hard for him to be the person that needed help, the person that needed to lean on his family for support...for him to give up some of his independence, that's when I figured out he was a very proud man and did I mention stubborn? I checked my schedule on many occasions because under the unfortunate circumstances in which we met I knew he would lighten my day. Matt you were there for him....and you always let us know how Grateful you were for the care we offered....you always made a point to say Thank You to me.......those moments are what make this job worth it....I hope I provided some comfort for your dad, for you and your family. I don't think any words can make the pain any less.....always remember the good things...and the not so good things.....that's what makes memories....those are all moments that will bring a smile and a chuckle. I'm sorry I didn't come to his service... It's such a final goodbye....Matt take care of yourself and take care of each other. I resigned from Vista last week....under good circumstances, I've decided to stay home until September when my youngest leaves for college. If there is anything I can do please get in touch. 253-223-0279

Steve Holt, you were a one of a kind! Always enjoyed your smile and your good humor back in the day of Lumbermen's Homes. So enjoyed working with you! Say hi to Merle, Stan and Bob! Rip Steve. You will be missed. Your friend, Patty Whitley, co-worker back in the mid 70's.
