I am so sorry to learn of Joan's passing. I knew her ages ago, in high school, back when she preferred “Joni.� She was one of my closest friends back then, such a sweet person. Sadly we fell out of touch long ago. I just came across letters she sent me in 1979, googled her and found this tribute site.
My condolences to her family, and a smile for Joni.
