Obituary of Donald Dean Morris
Donald Dean Morris was born October 2, 1929 in Salina, Kansas to Dewey Sr. and Velma Morris. He moved to Washington State with his family in 1947 where he soon met his to be wife. Donald and Dorothy were married on January 18, 1951 in Yakima, Washington. In June 1951 they moved to Seattle where Don had already been working for Boeing. Don is survived by his wife Dorothy, of almost 69 years and five children, Donald Morris Jr (Rena), Douglas Morris (Heather), Deborah Morris, Danette Gralfs (Tom), and Dana Stauffer (Larry). Don enjoyed his 29 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. He had six brothers and sisters, Dewey Morris Jr. (deceased), Robert Morris (Ardith), Ronald Morris (Betty), Shirley Houser (Ronald), Starlene Christman (William, deceased) and Jerald Morris (Mary). He had many cousins, nieces and nephews.
After working nearly forty years at Boeing Don retired, he and Dottie then moved to Shelton Washington where they built their dream home on Hammersley Inlet. They lived here for the last 29 years enjoying their beach, orchard, his favorite apple tree with at least 10 different types of apples grafted on and many beautiful flowers.
