Although I only knew Kari for such a short time, she had and will continue to have a deep influence on my life and my understanding of the meaning of life. In her way she dealt with cancer, in her pursuit of living and her appreciation of the quality of life, she chose to stand up to the pains and ordeals of fighting cancer. The last time we were with Kari, Jim and her sister and brother in law was on a cruise ship traveling up the coast of Alaska. She definitely made the trip worthwhile! Kari had the added benefit of having a most supportive family who were able to provide her with the comfort and love so required at the end of life!
Thank you Kari for your friendship ,May you finally rest in peace free of all the pain. Jim ,thank you for teaching me so much about caring for someone who is dying and to Kari's family may your memories of Kari give you joy, comfort and the strength to go on. I will light a candle for her.
