Obituary of Stanley Pate

Please share a memory of Stanley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Stanley A. Pate 1950-2023 Stan was a lifelong resident of Washington State. He was born in Longview, grew up in Tacoma, and resided in Kirkland for most of his adult life. He died peacefully at home on the morning of May 22, 2023. Most people will remember Stan through his many years of managerial work with Pizza Haven, a once-thriving chain of restaurants in the PNW, CA, and beyond. He even opened a store for them in Abu Dhabi, which was an exciting venture for him as a young man. Stan later owned and operated the Pizza Haven which was located inside the Center House at the Seattle Center. Stan enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, clamming, crabbing, shrimping, etc. He was also an avid golfer for many years. He enjoyed taking road trips, traveling abroad, and spending time with family and his best friends Craig and Judy Haines. He was an excellent and loving husband, a great provider, and a loyal friend to all who knew and loved him. Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Anita, and brother, Michael. Stan is survived by his wife of 20 years, Angie; 11 nieces and nephews, and two brothers, David and Sarah Pate, and John Pate and Candice Cole. The family will hold a private ceremony at the beach. In lieu of sending flowers or any form of condolences, Stan would inspire you to plan an annual fishing trip with your buddies. His favorite place to go has been the Rock Island Lake Fishing Camp located an hour and a half north of Kamloops in British Columbia. You can tell Jim & Jeannie that Fishin' Stan sent you--as his way of saying "thank you" for having taken such good care of him and his friends during the past 20 years of visits. http://rockislandfishingcamp.com/ Fly high… you handsome, strong, courageous, precious soul. You are deeply loved and missed.
