It was a gift to have roomed with Bill during our first year in medical school, and to have worked with him at the Seattle/King County health department over a number of years. Bill was not only able to pursue school but also show great energy in working outside of school. He had amazing confidence in developing medical skills, but also as a life guard during summers. I learned much by simply watching the easy he showed in navigating a complicated and busy time in his life. We will continue to miss him. Bill Foege
